
Graham Legerton
BA Hons Dip Arch RIBA (Part III Distinction)
Graham specialises in education design with experience in master planning and strategic design visions for schools and higher education institutions. He brings award-winning design expertise to education communities that integrate innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Graham is a Principal of the Hayball Brisbane studio and national leader of the Hayball Tertiary Sector.
He drives co-creative processes to fuse the pedagogical aspirations of educators with architecture. His approach is underpinned by listening, a love of design and sketching, collaboration, return briefing, vision, and holistically sustainable ideas. He is respected for his ability to understand clients’ needs, cultures, and aspirations and to capture these in creative design solutions.
Graham’s works have received multiple design, learning environment and sustainability awards across three states from the AIA and Association for Learning Environments including the Overall Winner of the Australasia Region in 2014 for the Griffith University Gold Coast Library Extension. He has been a speaker at the Nobel Forum of Future learning Environments and was part of team who exhibited a national design competition shortlisting at the Venice Biennale.
