The PMSA is run by a Board of Directors which comprises up to 13 Board members. Up to five Board members are each appointed by the Presbyterian Church and the Uniting Church and up to three are directly appointed by the PMSA Board. Each Board member is a volunteer and holds office for three years. Board members are eligible for re-appointment up to a maximum period of nine years.
Board Skills Matrix
The following defines the PMSA’s Board Skills Matrix which outlines the capabilities and experience that the PMSA Board requires and the number of Board members required with specific skills area experience. The Board Skills Matrix is reviewed annually to ensure the Board has a balance of capabilities and experience.
A Board member is defined as an expert when they have significant experience and / or qualifications in the defined skills area. Many Board members have a working knowledge in several defined skills areas, but are not considered experts. They support those expert Board members.
