Somerville House, Brisbane Boys’ College and Clayfield College are proud to present Professor Lea Waters for an evening of science-based positive parenting strategies focussing on emphasising our children’s strengths and building self-esteem.
Lea Waters is an Australian academic, researcher, psychologist, author and speaker from Melbourne University who specialises in positive parenting education programs. Voted as one of Australia’s Top 100 Women of Influence, Professor Waters has authored the book
‘The Strength Switch’ which explores how we can help our children build resilience, optimism and achievement, and deal with problem behaviour and difficult situations.
As a strengths-based scientist for more than twenty years, Professor Waters has seen how this approach enhances self-esteem and energy in both children and teenagers.
Somerville House, Brisbane Boys’ College and Clayfield College invite parents and teachers to attend ‘The Strength Switch’ presented by Professor Lea Waters for a highly informative and entertaining evening exploring practical tips to unlock our children’s potential.
