Principal of Somerville House to retire at the end of 2023

The PMSA has announced that Somerville House Principal, Mrs Kim Kiepe has advised of her decision to retire at the end of 2023.

Mrs Kiepe joined Somerville House in 2019 as the school’s 12th Principal.

PMSA Board Chair Peter Barker said, “I would like to thank and acknowledge Mrs Kiepe for her remarkable contribution as Principal of Somerville House.

“Her many accomplishments are a testament to her exceptional work ethic, leadership and dedication.

“Mrs Kiepe has been a wonderful leader, ambassador and advocate for Somerville House. She will be warmly remembered by the school community for many years to come.

“We wish Mrs Kiepe all the very best for her future endeavours.”

The announcement is bittersweet for Mrs Kiepe, who truly loved being the Principal of Somerville House, but recognised the timing was right for her to step down at the conclusion of her contract.

“I have been honoured to be the Principal of Somerville House.

“It has been a richly rewarding experience and a great a privilege to be a part of this wonderful Somerville House community, representing more than 120 years of proud tradition.

“I am confident that I leave the School in a very strong position,” Mrs Kiepe said.

The PMSA will now begin the recruitment process to look for a suitably qualified replacement to lead Somerville House from 2024.
