In mid-2021, the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) announced its intention to establish a new Outdoor Learning Campus at Mount Moon in the Scenic Rim to be commissioned in 2024. This announcement reflected our desire for the PMSA to provide opportunities through a commitment to high quality education experiences.
Following the announcement, the PMSA continued its due diligence and implemented a thorough and measured process to ensure this development will meet the future holistic needs of our students and the long-term prosperity, sustainability, and performance of our four outstanding schools – Brisbane Boys’ College, Clayfield College, Somerville House, and Sunshine Coast Grammar School.
As a result of this detailed process, and broader consideration of our changing environment, it was determined that the Outdoor Learning Campus at Mount Moon was no longer the ideal location nor met the current priority needs of the group. The PMSA is committed to providing high quality education experiences and is now considering alternate opportunities to create unique education precincts that will help shape our future success.
The PMSA remains driven by our vision to build caring school communities, by providing world-class teaching and learning environments and delivering exceptional education that fosters a strong Christian culture in our students.
Further announcements will be made as projects develop.
