New PMSA CEO announced

The PMSA Board has today announced the appointment of its new CEO, Shane Coppin.

Commencing on 5 July 2021, Shane joins the PMSA from AusCycling, where he was the founding joint CEO.

Board Chair Peter Barker welcomed Shane to the PMSA and said his leadership experience and management style will be an asset to the organisation.

“Shane is an experienced, approachable leader, with a record of achievement, leading diverse multi-stakeholder organisations. His “listen first,” collaborative but firm leadership style equips him well to lead our organisation,” said Peter.

Shane said “I believe the PMSA boasts some of the most respected educators in the nation and I look forward to meeting them all soon. I will begin by immersing myself in the PMSA and school communities, spending considerable time listening and exploring our four schools.

“I look forward to hearing from our people and communities to gain an understanding of our group, the challenges and ambitions shared throughout,” he said.

Shane is an Honorary Adjunct Assistant Professor (Bond Business School – Bond University), a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a Fellow of the Institute of Managers and Leaders.
