The PMSA Board today announced the appointment of 10 high profile business professionals to PMSA committees showing a clear sign of leadership in school governance.
Following the PMSA Annual General Meeting last night, among the 10 appointees were PwC partner Jane Madden who was appointed a PMSA Board member as well as Chair of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee and Commissioner Paula Spencer who was appointed to the Nominations and Human Resources Committee.
Other appointments included barrister-at-law Dr Jacoba Brasch QC and past St Margaret’s principal Dr Vicki Waters who were both appointed to the PMSA’s new Child Protection and Safeguarding Committee.
The new appointments to the PMSA committees are:
Audit, Finance and Risk Committee
- Jane Madden, PwC partner and past parent at Somerville House
- Peter Barker, CFO Cardno Ltd and BBC Old Collegian
- Geoffrey Brown, CFO Hastings Deering and BBC Old Collegian
Child Protection and Safeguarding Committee
- Dr Jacoba Brasch QC, barrister-at-law and Clayfield College Old Collegian
- Michael Pecic, past detective and child protection lead investigator with Qld Police
- Dr Vicki Waters, past principal at St Margaret’s and Pymble Ladies College Sydney
Nominations and HR Committee
- Rebecca Bauer, Principal consultant Hudson Qld and Somerville House Old Girl
- Jon Hottot, Davidson Executive partner and current BBC parent
- Commissioner Paula Spencer, Australian Industrial Relations Commission, Fair Work Australia and Fair Work Commission
- Dr Christina Turner, Past president Australian Human Resources Institute
Experienced non-executive board member, past PMSA Board member and Deakin University Professor Emeritus Jennifer Radbourne was also welcomed back to the Sunshine Coast Grammar School Council.
PMSA Chair Morgan Parker said these appointments demonstrate a tangible step-change to the PMSA’s governance capabilities.
