Transitioning to learning from home

As we all adjust to our new ‘normal’, our staff across the PMSA Group and within our schools are working overtime to proactively manage how the rapidly changing situation with COVID-19 coronavirus is affecting our schools.

Our number one priority is always the health and wellbeing of everyone in our community and we wholeheartedly thank our wonderful staff for their ongoing commitment to their students and their schools and their professionalism in adjusting to the ever-changing situation.

The Federal and State governments continue to confirm that schools will remain open and our PMSA schools are following this advice. However, like many other independent schools, our schools are preparing in various ways to move to a learning from home delivery method.

Somerville House will be the first PMSA school to move to this method of learning and will commence Somerville@ Home off-campus blended learning mode from Tuesday next week. Our other PMSA schools will make these decisions based on their own community needs as the situation evolves.

Thank you to our school communities for supporting our staff and our schools through this critical and unprecedented time. We recognise this is difficult for everyone and we are navigating these times together.

Taking a note from Mrs Kiepe’s message last night “Stay well, wash your hands and practise social distancing.”
