Brisbane Boys’ College and Clayfield College choirs and symphony orchestras performed a spine-tingling rendition of Handel’s crowning achievement “Messiah” on Friday night at the BBC Grand Concert.
Dedicated to BBC’s Rev Graham Cole, who will retire as Chaplain at the end of 2019 after 27 years, the combined choirs and orchestras demonstrated the depth of their magnificent musical talent performing the amazing Messiah better known as the “Hallelujah chorus”.
Conducted by BBC’s Brett Holland, the combined choirs and orchestras also played and performed a thrilling piece Adiemus by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins.
The choirs look forward to again performing at the schools’ Speech Nights towards the end of the year.
Congratulations to the performers and music teachers involved.
