The PMSA is pleased to welcome newly appointed Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of the PMSA Joanne Segond von Banchet who began in her role today.
Taking on this inaugural position, Joanne’s focus will be on the business and investment strategies of the PMSA group. She will also support the CEO and the PMSA Executive and Board in the group’s financial stewardship and work collaboratively alongside each of the schools’ Business Managers to develop group-wide initiatives.
As the PMSA’s Company Secretary, she will also provide advice to the PMSA Board on governance matters.
Joanne joins the PMSA with almost 20 years experience in leading financial strategy, governance and advisory services in the non-governance education sector as Director of Corporate Services with Toowoomba Catholic Schools.
PMSA CEO Sharon Callister said she was an exceptional candidate with outstanding experience and a passion for making a real difference.
“Joanne is a wonderful leader, an experienced Chief Financial Officer within the education sector, and a committed Christian who is passionate about Christian education,” said Sharon.
“She has a strong background and understanding of the needs and changing educational environment in Queensland and brings her strong skills in governance, financial management and identifying opportunities for business process improvement and efficiencies to the PMSA.
“She has proven skills in working in complex stakeholder environments with complex financial and governance structures which will complement the PMSA’s current program of governance reform and future strategic direction.
Joanne is a FCPA and has undergraduate qualifications in finance and a master’s in leadership.
We’d also like to warmly welcome new Principal at Somerville House Mrs Kim Kiepe who started last week as well as all the new staff commencing for 2019 across our four great schools.
