The ninth Headmaster of Brisbane Boys’ College Mr Paul Brown was commissioned today in a moving ceremony. Led by BBC Chaplain Rev Graham Cole, PMSA Chairman Greg Adsett formally commissioned Mr Brown.
“You are called to be the educational leader and to provide spiritual and pastoral care to those who live, learn and teach in this community,” Greg said.
Members of the PMSA Council, BBC School Council, Presbyterian and Uniting Churches, BBC Old Collegians, BBC Foundation and current students attended the service.
Paul accepted the reins as Headmaster of our 116 year old College with humility and resolve.
Paul has a strong commitment to education, academic excellence, and to Christian leadership.
“At Brisbane Boys’ College the focus is on assisting each and every student to reach their potential and prepare them to take their place in the world as confident, competent and compassionate young men who will contribute to the health, wellbeing and prosperity of their community and the nation at large,” Paul said.
Paul Brown is more than qualified for the top job, holding graduate and post-graduate qualifications from the University of Sydney and Macquarie Graduate School of Management and recently having completed a school leadership program at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
He has more than 20 years experience in top tier high performing independent schools, and most recently was Deputy Head at MLC School, Burwood in Sydney.
