Somerville House welcomes community for 2017 Open Day

On Sunday 21 May 2017, Somerville House welcomed the community for our biennial School Open Day.

Over 3,000 people joined us between 11.00am and 2.00pm to explore our classrooms and facilities, to learn about our exciting teaching and learning programs, and to speak to the students, staff, parents, volunteers and friends who make up our warm, and welcoming School community.

Guests also took part in guided campus tours, enjoyed music and cultural performances, and joined spectators in sporting demonstrations.

The auditorium was close to capacity throughout the day, as families listened to presentations from Principal, Mrs Florence Kearney, about what to consider when choosing a School, and 2017 School Captain, Miss Isabelle Coulson, as she spoke about her experiences as a student at the School, and the strength of community spirit and culture at Somerville House.

It was a spectacular day of events, celebrating our undeniable School spirit, and again demonstrating Somerville House as a landmark in education.
