Academic accolades continue for scholars at Brisbane Boys’ College

The accolades have continued for 2016 Brisbane Boys’ College (BBC) graduates with Hainian Yu (2016 Vice Captain) and Jacob White (2016 Valedictorian) recognised as distinguished academic achievers at the recent Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) awards.

Taking place at the Queensland State Library, Hainian and Jacob were two of only 35 students from across the state to receive this honour.

Headmaster Graeme McDonald congratulates the boys on behalf of the College.

“This is an outstanding achievement and we wish them all the best as they look to tertiary studies,” said Mr McDonald.

“They will no doubt continue to approach this next endevour with the same level of commitment and dedication for which they have become known,” he said.

Hainian is set to study a Bachelor of Music (Honours), followed by a Medical degree while Jacob is planning to study Medicine. Both boys have been offered a scholarship from the University of Queensland – the Merit and Vice Chancellor Scholarship respectively.
