BBC A vibrant learning culture

In 2013 Brisbane Boys’ College (BBC) was one of only 16 schools to receive an Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) Innovation grant. For BBC, the project saw three main focus areas emerge: the flipped classroom, activating student voice and creating collaborative professional learning communities.

These initiatives have seen BBC move beyond innovation in its simplest form to redefining the boundaries of education.

According to AITSL, the Innovation Grants project sought to investigate innovative approaches to professional learning and elements of performance and development that can be shared with the education community in Australia.

The information generated from the project has been designed to encourage conversation and collaboration between sectors, teachers, school leaders and education groups.

They recently released a series of videos focusing on the project in which BBC was featured.
